98.9 2 WAR FM is located at 11 Warren Road in Gilgandra NSW Australia. The community radio station is operated purely by volunteers who dedicate their time to broadcast a variety of programmes to the community of Gilgandra.
98.9 2 WAR FM was the dream of a local Gilgandra man and with his passion and persistence Gilgandra now has its own community radio. The station came from humble beginnings, first being housed in a small ex-bakery shop in 1999.
2003 saw the purchase of our own premises which was an old Telecom building. Today it has broadcasting studio, office, meeting room, production room, kitchen, amenities and a disabled access ramp, this has been all achieved by a committed team of individuals who donate their time to make 98.9 2 WAR FM the great community radio station it is today.
Our Outdoor Broadcast Unit is completed and we have successfully performed several outdoor broadcasts within the community of Gilgandra.
